The company offers its services, software solutions to all sectors of the economy having as clients financial institutions, banks, international companies but also medium-size and small enterprises.
For a major part of its clients the company proposes also outsourcing services.
Main Responsibilities:
• The CFO is responsible for the direction of financial controls in order to support the business objectives
• Provide management advice and assistance to the National Director and Project Managers including assistance in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
• Manage the country’s financial department including accounting, taxes, treasury and audit processes
• Contributing to strategic planning and development as a member of the executive team, managing the follow up and keeping track of decisions of the executive team
• Direction and coordination of the development and management of budgets
• Evaluating the adequacy and implementing improvements to those systems and processes in accordance with required Accounting Standards, Tax Requirements, and Securities and Exchange regulations
• Make sure that reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation , handling of gains and loss carry forwards, annual report and accounts is working in line with the rules, regulations and procedures of Romanian Legislation
• Implementation of financial systems and processes in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards, group policies, tax requirements, securities and exchange regulations. Such systems may include General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Treasury, Benefits, Tax or Legal.
• Develop performance management and building a high functioning team. Identify finance staff for capacity building and succession planning.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring and advise the HR department on appropriate training & development opportunities for finance staff.
• Reporting of financial performance of operations, which include consolidation of financial statements according to required policies and IFRS GAAP.
• Responsible for driving working capital improvements in the country.
Competencies
• Must have good knowledge of Romanian accounting system - certified accountant.
• A minimum of three years in a senior financial supervisory role.
• Proven experience in treasury activities, establishment and monitoring of budgets, and an understanding of data processing concepts and systems, tax law.
• Good oral and written communication skills, team building skills, and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff.
• Fluent English communication skills written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead needed organizational change.
• Able to work collaboratively and build positive relationships
